Emily Leeds

2D & 3D Animator, Digital Illustrator, Artist & Graphic Designer

I’m Emily Leeds — a 2D and 3D animator, Pratt Institute Class of 2026. I work the full pipeline, from storyboards and design through modeling, animation, lighting, and comp, with a soft spot for character-driven storytelling and slightly off-kilter worlds.
What I do

Animation, illustration, and end-to-end pipeline work

Most recently I created an original animated segment for a Circuit Arts of Martha’s Vineyard documentary — design through final render, with full creative freedom. Recent festival shorts include Easy Bake Husband (Lift-Off Global Network Audience Choice; selections at North Edinburgh and Otis College) and Woodsy and the Sleep-Walking Cure (Lift-Off Global Network, Otis College).

I move comfortably across 2D animation, 3D animation, and digital still art, with a toolkit that mixes studio-pipeline software (Maya, Nuke, Substance Painter, Toon Boom) with artist-favorites (ZBrush, Procreate). I also teach — see art education.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

A few of the questions I hear most often.
Animation (2D and 3D), illustration, storyboards, character design, and digital still art. I take on commissions, freelance and contract work, and indie or small-team projects. End-to-end ownership is where I’m most at home, but I also slot into existing pipelines.
Yes — I’m open to full-time studio positions and willing to relocate. The fastest way to reach me is the contact page; my full studio-facing portfolio lives on ArtStation.
Yes. My recent work for Circuit Arts of Martha’s Vineyard was produced remotely from start to finish, and I’m set up to collaborate that way — file delivery, review rounds, and version control all included.
It starts with a short conversation about scope, references, audience, and timeline. From there I send a quote and rough schedule, share work-in-progress for review, and deliver final assets in the formats your project needs. Timelines depend on scope — a single illustration is days, an animated short is months.
Yes. I’ve taught children’s classes and led workshops, and I run art education and training sessions for individuals and groups. Reach out via the contact page if you’d like to discuss a class, workshop, or event.
